Hi, Kris
Thanks for your answer.
I had 2 sticks of 512 DDR1; if I put both OS2 crashes after the HPFS
386 driver is installed (crashes in DOSCALL1). If I use only one stick
it works.
As the motherboard can use DDR1 or DDR2, I got 2 sticks of 512 of ddr2
and the same thing happens: it works with one but not with both.
Today I bought one stick with 1GB (thanks God for Fry's where everything
can be returned) and tried it; the same thing happens.
So it seems I will be reduced to 512MB maximum. Maybe there is some
glitch in the config.sys which pertains to memory allocation, but I do
not know.
If I boot to Winxp with one or both sticks it works either in ddr1 or
ddr2; so the mobo (and the actual memories) are probably OK.
Thanks anyway
Jose
