Hello, Kurt.

Now that's a true parts computer. This one is 90% intact. The
hard drive died (it was originally an IBM Death^H^H^H^H^HDeskstar drive -
now you know why IBM isn't making drives anymore :) and I slapped a Maxtor
in it. It died, and I have something else in it...I believe a WD from
somewhere. The NIC, display card are all part of the OEM setup. This was
one of the last decent systems Dell built, except for the dumb-as-rocks
decision to use RAMBUS RAM on this system. MAN, that stuff is /expensive/.
So it sticks with 256MB RAM.
I was at Wal-Mart tonight (I normally don't go there, but they opened the
second supercenter in town very close to my place). There was an eMachines
3.2ghz, loaded, for $298. Just couldn't believe the price.
Later,
Sean
