As such she is good for fund raisers, especially fund raisers for local Senate candidates running against Republican incumbents where getting a paying crowd can be difficult. The article you reference is a good one actually. It points out that although her public persona is that of a flaming liberal (the way the right likes to portray her), in reality she is not. Although her voting record on the litmus test stuff is good, in some respects she has bent over backwards to accommodate Republican moderates in the Senate. That makes her popular in that house with both Democrats and many Republicans. If she should ever run for and win the presidency, she would have good support in Congress from both parties with as always the exception of the far-right extemists. If ever the Republicans manage to rid themselves of their reactionary right wing, a Clinton presidency could be very popular and productive. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
