| subject: | Re: Intel dual core mobo and OS/2 |
Hi, everybody
I am trying to upgrade my motherboard+ CPU to an Elite P4M800pro- with a
dual core intel CPU.
I have 2 HD, one with OS2 (WSeB cp5) and another with Windoze, booting
with Boot Manager.
I am consistently crashing on booting OS2 with an error message about
Dos1call (doscall1?) it I have 1GB of memory.
If I reduce the memory to 512MB it will boot without problems.
I remember that in the past some Intel cpu's would not install OS2 if
there were more than 512 mb of memory installed but I never heard about
problems with running OS2 with 1gb.
Does anybody noticed similar problems? Could it be because of the dual
core design?
Thanks in advance
Jose
