| subject: | Laptop won`t install |
Recently we bought a laptop - and of course it came with XP preloaded.
I played around to learn a bit, then tried to install eCS. It pretty
much installed - except I'd not checked on a few bits of info - such as
network card, etc. I didn't do a full install - just wanted to see if it
would work - which it looked like it would.
I bought DFSee, repartitioned, then used the CD's that came with the
system to reinstall WinXP into the first partition (excluding the hidden
recovery partition).
I'm now trying to install eCS - it lets me choose installation options,
displays the eComStation 1.2 window - then nada. The CD-ROM light
actually shows brief activity twice - but nothing else will happen. It
worked before I played around with partitioning - but not now. I'm very
confused. Any ideas?
Thanks
