It is obvious from what has been happening in Iraq that the Iraqis preferred tyranny by one of their own to tyranny imposed by Americans. It was against imposing our own form of tyranny on the Iraqis that they marched. Looking at the mess Iraq has become and is likely to remain for the foreseeable future, the marchers were right. Of course, going to war against Iraq was not supposed to be about removing a dictator, but about that dictator being a threat to the US with his WMD. Utter bullshit, of course. When the public finally woke up to that fact, then the spin began that we were rescuing Iraqis from tyranny. What bullshit that is too. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
