How old is the baby? Do you know what colors its parents were? If you do, we
can help you genetically determine your bird's sex. If you don't know
anything about the parents, I always rely on behavior. But you have to wait
'till the bird is about four-six months old. Males will become very vocal,
with a wide range of notes. Females are quieter and, when they do get
excited, have only a few notes to chirp.
It's difficult to sex lutinos visually, though not impossible. Still, your
bird has to be a little older as both males and females look alike as babies.
