Hi David,
Pardon my jumping in....
DR> I would like for you to think about making a shareware version of
DR> TSE that had a 64k limit. I already have TSE 2.0 registered, but
DR> I would love to have a shareware version to "share" with others,
DR> so they can fall in love all over again with Qedit and its Big
DR> Brother TSE. If there already *IS* a SW version of TSE, then
DR> forgive me for not knowing. I'll get it
There is a 'Test Drive' version of TSE which includes nearly all of the
production features. It is limited to 30 minutes or 4000 keystrokes before
it requires you to save your file and exit the editor. This should
give your friends an excellent opportunity to see ALL of TSE's power,
(as well as an incentive to buy the complete package and get the macro
compiler, complete online help, and several megabytes of additional
macros & user interfaces).
A TSE with a 640K (and I assume you meant 640K) limit, would be pretty
restrictive. TSE has a far more sophisticated editing engine under the
covers and thus uses more memory. A shareware version with such a limit
would not be able to edit files as large as the current version of Qedit
can. Besides, imagine the look on you friends' faces when they edit a
10 Mb file in scarcely more than a heart beat!
Look for TSETD2.ZIP (about 400K) on a BBS near you or call Semware's
Support BBS at 404-641-8968.
Regards,
Mike Chambers
