DB> But couldn't you just use a global constant variable, or DB> in C do these #define statements replace them? The #define changes things in the text to be compiled and does not require any memory in the runtime code. If it is a constant value, why have it stored as a variable at all. C still has global constants, but in some cases, there is simply no need to use a dynamic variable when the value will never change. A #define saves a bit of memory and perhaps a few clock cycles. > ]* Origin: *YOPS ]I[* 8.4 GIG * RA/FD/FE * Milwaukee, WI (1:154/750) SEEN-BY: 396/1 622/419 632/371 633/260 267 270 371 634/397 635/506 728 SEEN-BY: 639/252 670/213 218 @PATH: 154/750 222 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
