subject: Welcher Compiler ?

Cool, you are on the right track!
BM> Derzeit Programmierer ich in Borland Turbo C++ 3.1 fuer DOS.

You may wish to stick with Borland
BM> Spezielles Interesse habe ich an Watcom C/C++.
Watcom is very good, perhaps the best C++ compiler. However, I
think a beginner may find it somewhat difficult to use. One of the
very nice things about Borland compilers is that the error messages
are well suited for beginners. In fact, Borland for DOS/Windows is
very much the ideal for a beginner. If you do convert to Watcom, keep
a copy of Borland around! If I were you, I would stay away from
Microsoft C++ and the OS/2 version of Borland C++. Both are junk!
I have been programming exclusively in C++, and I will be glad to give
you all of the help I can, but I may not be able to get back to a
computer until the fall. If you have any more questions please feel
free to post them!
BM> Fuer alle Antworte schon einmal Danke im vorraus.
Bitte Schoen! :-)
Best Wishes
Peter
