Yes, I'd rather have average every day people picked at random and have
lawyers only for advice, even something stupid like that would be better.
I'd like to see a public forum were the public can comment on laws before
they go before congress. I'd like to see congress forced to review each and
every law on the books once every 20 years with a mandate to keep the
number of laws to a minimum not a maximum.

The problem is if you let lawyers make the laws, they craft them in a way
to make them nebulous so that you need lawyers to explain and argue them.
It's better for the lawyer business that way. I'm not saying lawyers
shouldn't be involved, I'm just saying they shouldn't be in charge.
