 PB> Type UserFile : Record
 PB>         UniqueID  : longint;
 PB>         FirstName : string[20];
 PB>         SurName   : string[25];
 PB>         Fidonet   : String[];     {<= ***** Suggestions of
 PB> length please}
what is the fidonet variable used for? the network address? if so,
65535:65535/65535.65535 is (at this time) the largest FTN style address... i
say 'FTN' meaning Fido Type Network... there are other networks that use
fidonet technology...
 PB>         Dateadded : Longint;     {<= ***** Probably stored as
 PB> Julian}
t'would be better to store as text in a format like...
  YYYYMMDDhhmmss--
YYYY - four digit year
MM - two digit month, leading zero padded
DD - two digit dat, leading zero padded
hh - two digit hour, 24 hour format, leading zero padded
mm - two digit minute, leading zero padded
ss - two digit seconds, leading zero padded
-- - two digit hundreths or secons, leading zero padded (optionl)
with the above, you don't have to worry about anything like the Year2000
problem until the year 9999 when the year goes over to a five digit length
