I was listening to a book (got the tape version so I
could listen while in the car) called "Beyond Prozac".
It's been an excellent book which doesn't spend all
the time talking about anti-depressents. Because
Prozac increases the seretonin levels in the brain that
is why the book is titled as such.
Anyway, the doctor who wrote it said repetitive motions
such as chewing gum, rocking, knitting, sewing, etc
reduce stress because they increase the seretonin levels
in your blood. Isn't that interesting.
I'd recommend the book to anyone who would choose to
read it. It's a great book with lots of good information,
although I will probably have to listen to it another
time through to catch everything.
