Hi Shaun,
  Mind if I butt in too?  I hate to say it but, no matter what hackers
  did it was nothing like the ridiculous plot in Independence Day.  In that
the guy wrote a virus on a mac, uploaded it to an alien space craft (which
must presumably have been mac too), (and it also took a few minutes to up
load - might big virus or mighty slow connection [just where did they plug
their phoneline into anyway]), and the virus magically spread throughout
all the alien space ships disabling all their shields la-la de dah....
Since obviously ID4 had such great computer experts at their disposal,
you wonder why their computer knowlege on viruses was so crap...
