Matt, there is NO conflict of interest. If Starr were any
more neutral, he'd be sitting on the DNC. As Rush stated
today many, if not a majority, of Starr's staff attorneys
are Democrats. 
More to the point, if you will think back to the
vilification and expulsion of Packwood, there was a
question as to whether admission of his diaries into
evidence was a violation of his privacy. The majority
Democrats solution was to pick a neutral attorney to review
those diaries and determine which portions were admissable.
As I recollect, that neutral attorney picked by the
Democrat majority was: Kenneth Starr.
