Umm Gene...how much of Canada resembles Afganistan? So if I follow you,
you'd send troops to fight in a Jungle or in mountains that had only ever
trained on a prairie?

It is usual. Not every country has either every known terrain type or
agreements with foreign countries which have that terrain wrt training

Being in a designated training area & then being bombed by some drugged
up cowboy is a f*ckup by the druggie cowboy & his superiors not by the
PBI on the ground.
