What  caliphate?  That is pure fantasy. It is far to late historically for
the kind of thing now. Even were it to come into existence, the caliph
would be what
all past caliphs have been, i.e. anything but a mullah or iman. Islamic
fundamentalists have been trying to emulate Mohammad for centuries. They
have always failed. Even the secularists of the 20th century failed to
unify the Middle East.

Forget Osama bin Laden. He and his little bungling bunch of religious ideologues
will accomplish nothing at all. They are a pin-prick on the world body,
nothing more. It has always been so with these "terrorist"
idiots. They  come and scare everybody for awhile, then fade into
nothingness. It has never been otherwise.
