Of course to prevent any confusion you'd mark the area as a >training area. About as daft a thing as I have ever heard. You have got troops being sent into a war zone without training? They have never had live ammunition training in their home countries? They never trained for night fighting? What the hell were they doing before being sent overseas? And what his this utter crap about Afghanistan's terrain being so unique that only training there is useful? They don't have hills and mountains in Canada? The obvious fact is that Canada sent troops to fight in a war for which they had no appropriate training, hence training had to be conducted on sight. It was dumb. If Canada wants to play with the big guys, they had better be prepared and they were not and still are not. It is a disgrace that their rush to get troops into Afghanistan meant their training had to be done their. And let me remind you, they took that hit from the US pilot not because they were running around chasing Taliban or AQ people, but were conducting as training exercise of all things. There is no excuse for that kind of stupidity and no amount of phony excuses will make it any less stupid. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
