VN> A friend of mine has an S-10 with the V6 and he uses
VN>it to pull a two-horse trailer with one horse in it. It's
VN>the same V6 we had in our '88 GMC that we used to pull all
VN>three horses with! (Okay, going uphill, we had to turn the
VN>air conditioner off...)
I'm just in the beginning stages of looking for a truck to haul the stuff I
need, as well as haul a horse trailer when I buy one. I cannot afford
anything remotely new. I was told that I needed a V8 engine, and that a
manual transmission was preferable. But, it's rather hilly here and I
think that a manual transmission may not provide as smooth a ride to a
horse in a trailer as an automatic transmission would. Any thoughts?
