Regarding your message to Dunk

He is trying to criticise all Diamond modems.  He does not seem to know or
¨care that Diamond have 11 modems with AUSTEL approvals (with several more
on ¨the way).  They come from several Taiwanese manufactures such as -
GVC (the largest modem maker in Taiwan)
BEST Communications
LightSpeed Technology
DataTronics
E-Tech
CIS (number two in Taiwan)

Many of these modems have won awards, Editors Choices, and User  Picks, etc.

Sure all modem makers, etc. had problems with the first crop of V.FC and
even ¨some V.34 modems (especially the early non-austel approved batches).
¨However, Diamond has for some time now been shipping only their AUSTEL
¨approved models, these and not only sold to Australia but to Europe and
the ¨USA in VERY large quantities.  If there were any problems they would
have ¨been reported and fixed very promptly.
