I have no argument with any of that, and welcome discussion on the pros and
cons of RPI modems, in order to help educate people as to whether they
ought to consider buying them or not.

I'm sure it's more on the 'con' side, myself - but the point I was making
(in netmail, I might add) was, let's leave out the negative reflections on
people who sell them to meet demand from an undoubtedly uneducated public?

In other words, can we please concentrate on the technical issues,
educating via those, and not reflect on the ethics of those selling them? 
Going on your later posts on this, please let's leave all such personal
aspects to netmail, thanks Russell.  Thanks also for your explanation
regarding the other matter, netmail on its way ..
