The last I heard, Saddam is an Iraqi, or has Bush taken out Iraqi citizenship?

Exactly, we grabbed the power and they would rather destroy the country than see
that power remain in US control through a puppet government.

Giving power to the Iraqi people is exactly what we are not doing. We are giving
it to our handpicked puppets who are already emulating Saddam. You think
there are going to be elections in January? Forget it. Not only will the
security problem, as in Afghanisan, not allow it, Allawi and his group will
not allow it usng the lack of security as the excuse. Why would they do
that? Because they are not about to see the Shiites take power. That is
something that is not going
to happen no matter what else happens. No Iragi Arab or Kurd will allow it.
No Arab govenment will support it. The US will not support it.

Therefore, there will be no democracy in Iraq unless some provision is made
for power sharing among Sunni, Kurd and Shiites. Al Sistani has already
made it very
clear that he will not accept any such arrangement.
