Yep. I worked in an all-IBM shop back in 1991 and got a taste of OS/2 1.3 
running Microsoft office apps and interconnecting to big IBM iron, Netware 
and MS Lan Manager servers with a windowed GUI way before Windows was 
usable.

I ran realitycheckBBS on OS/2 with all native apps (Maximus/2 and 
BinkleyTerm) for a couple of years until the internet kicked in, at that 
point OS/2 seemed to run out of gas. The joke was that OS2 was virus free 
because virus writers couldn't afford the SDK, whereas Microsoft got people 
the tools they needed to code for Windows.
