Oh! On short mysteries, I forgot all about "Rumpole of the Bailey!!"
One book of those was enough for me. I enjoyed them well enough, but
after that book, I had just had my fill. Rather like having eaten a
satisfying meal, I was content. Happy with what I had had, and not
really needing seconds. The Rumpole stories have that famous
tongue-in-cheek British satirical wit. I thoroughly enjoyed the volume I
read, and passed it along to a friend. And, they are short.
