I understand the difference between a metabolic defect which causes a
normally benign nutrient to cause toxicity, and an attempt to deal with
physical problems or brain chemistry by manipulating diet. I'm not
questioning that the best solution for an alcoholic is to eliminate alcohol
from the diet, but this is the first I've heard that a high fat diet does
anything for epilepsy.
Just about anything works in some proportion of cases, that's why they use
control populations.
