-= Pete Replied to Paul Wankadia about: USR Courier Uploading =-

G'day Paul

SL> Hello everyone (esp. Courier users),

 PW> Sorry - I have a NetComm

Me too, but i do have a USR as well :-)

SL> Is it normal, when using the Courier to upload files, to have
 SL> the CS

PW> Out of curiosity (which is why I replied) - what is the CS light
 PW> for?

Short for CTS or "Clear To Send" it's just the way a modem tells the
computer to send more data to it.

SL> I thought the CS light should stay continuously lit while the SD
 SL> light blinks.

PW> SD - Send Data? But what's CS?

see above.

SL> I'm using hardware flow control, DTE speed 115,200 bps. The RS
SL> light is on all the time during uploads.

PW> RS - Receive Data??? But during an UPload?

no thats RD "Recieve Data" RS stands for "Ready to Send" i think.
