CYBERSPACE
SINGAPORE--Singapore's Internet users will be able to access
multimedia services using "broadcast links to cable television"
(whatever than means), according to officials at the service,
MediaManager. The interactive broadcast service allows users to
receive multimedia sound and images at higher speeds via
television antennas (20 Mbps) than traditional dial-up phone
lines. (Reuters)

LA DXING--After a 5 year break, the Japanese club focusing on
DXing tropical stations in Latin America, Radio Nuevo Mundo, has
published a new edition of the booklet "LA DXing". The new
edition 6 is 270 A5 pages long, and includes a list of stations
by frequency, profiles of 49 Peruvian stations (legal and not),
articles about Radio Rebelde in Cuba and the last days of the
apparently CIA-backed station Radio Impacto in Costa Rica, and

Sweden Calling DXers/MediaScan is the world's oldest radio
program about international broadcasting. Radio Sweden has
presented this round-up of radio news, features, and interviews
on Tuesdays since 1948. It's currently broadcast on the first and
third Tuesdays of the month.
