Yes, although I must admit that I've been reading mostly novels lately.
However, there's always Poe and Doyle who did a few decent short mysteries.
And of course, Asimov's Dr. Urth is an interesting detective too, as well as
R. Daneel and Lije Baley.
Who's writing good short mysteries recently?   Any recommendations?
Last year I read a collection of shorts by Colin Dexter, some of which
involved Chief Inspector Morse, a favorite of mine.  I thought they were
rather poor.  My overall reaction was that Dexter should stick to novels.
