perhaps it wasn't repartitioned with LVM and I'm guessing the system
could be confused about converting to volumes. Have you tried booting
from the CDs up to the 1st opportunity where you have to F3 into a
command prompt and then run the 'vcu.exe' utility? Its not eCS, but
from my convenience Pak 2 CDs... "IBM:14.084#{at}- Volume Conversion
Utility vcu.exe" is in the root directory
Afterwards, I believe you will have to reboot again to get things
recognized and *maybe* you can continue further.
