ARRL broke its silence on little LEO activity this week.
In a nutshell, (and what was said at the ARRL New England Convention -
"there is no news, but the plan looks sick." - which to this observer
appears to mean, "we are winning but are keeping quiet.")
- A plan was file regarding the ARRL view on sharing. The report to
IWG-2 is basically = "No sharing is possible."
- The Little LEO industry has yet to file a plan in conflict with this.
Barring a last-minute filing (or chicanery by someone) it looks like we
will win this and 2 meters is safe (for now, my comment). According to
our Canadian counterpart organization, 440 has been safe all along due
to US Defense Department objections.
Check it out on the ARRL home page - http://www.arrl.org
I have been unable to find anything else on the 'net, except for some
comments by individuals on the issues in some Newsgroups.
