An other thing about Bell and Mobility Canada, they do not offer national
digital service across the country like Cantel, Fido, and Clearnet!
If you buy yourself the digital phone that is offer by BC Tel and by Bell
Mobility (Ontario and Quebec), they will only work in analogue mode in the
others territory.
Therefore, why pay extra for a digital phone that switches back to analogue
when you travel within Canada?
The reason being is because BC Tel uses the 800 MHz CDMA and Bell Mobility
is 1900 MHz CDMA. The only thing in common is 800 MHz AMPS. Hence the
dual -mode phone. Now if somebody could make a tri-mode telephone with 800
and 1900 CDMA with AMPS.
Alberta does not yet have digital, and I don't not about the other provinces
in Canada.
Maybe somebody else can tell us.

one person is unnecessarily killed or maimed by a
