I'm sorry I was so brief on this answer. Several people I know
(non-EMT's or EMTs in training) work in our medical control hospitals
ED as orderlys. Not only do they get to see a lot of varied cases, but
they get to see a unique side of the EMS story, that of the ED workers.
It's amazing how things we do that we don't think twice about cause
someone some grief, and how once we know about it, we can easily change
our procedures to make things work better for all concerned.
