If you have several coordinating pieces you could make garments
with a "vest" of one color and collar-sleeves of another, etc.
How about making banners/ wall hangings for church, home, or club? Or --
Pioneer sunbonnets. Stuffed toys. Did someone mention pot-holders?
Small scraps can cover cardboard or plasticy boxes to make permanent
deco.   (My mom just threw away a round cardboard salt box which
I was tempted to rescue, but decided I didn't really have time to
play with boxes, in addition to everything else.
 There are starchy glues that people use for draped fabric
dolls or decor.
I make handmade greeting cards with fabric cut outs glued onto any sort
of inexpensive commercial paper or card stock.
