My favorite Spirit is the self-titled first album - highly recommended. 
Darker and more atmospheric. I love Randy California's liquid guitar lines in 
it. Got to see Spirit (along with Strawberry Alarm Clock, Lee Michaels and 
several others) at one of the spring training ballparks in Phoenix circa 
1970. Very good live although the quiter stuff didn't come across well in 
that setting.
