I'm going back quite a ways to when I used to run the BBS dial-up only
on dos. It was busy then too. I had serious space issues at the time
and only kept 500 msgs in any given area. I'd get complaints from users
that that area and a couple others were getting removed to fast. The
complaints were good too, I checked that area and message number 1 was
from early that morning! I increased the number to 1000 for a few msg
areas and that worked, as long as folks logged on every day to get new
mail.. :) That was the best I could do then. The only real solution
would have been a second hard drive but they were very expensive at
that time.

Course I don't have problems like that now, I keep 5000 messages in
all areas these days.. :)

RT> BTW, do you have a current FamilyNet nodelist, I could get a copy off?

Sorry I don't. I did join family net a few years ago and I think I was
nodelisted, but the echo feed just never happened and I don't know
why. I meant to look closer but I never have and I don't know if I'm
still nodelisted or not. Will check that one of these days.

I did take a look around to see if I could grab a nodelist or info
pack but couldn't find one. Maybe an email to Bob Hoffman would get
you a nodelist or a url to pick one up.

 Ttyl :-),
