What presidents lately have not been out of touch?  The Clintons acted it
but really were not.  I think Trump is more in touch than Obama or the
Bushes were, but that is not saying much.

Promise freebees and to get rid of all of society's woes?  That is
impossible but is also a winning strategy among the same folks who voted
for Obama, supported Bernie, and will likely support whoever the Democrats
put up next.
