Gee, can I visit? (G)  Seriously, I've got major sewing to do before I
can realistically think of buying more fabric.  Plus, have lots of craft
projects that await my working on; painting, cross stitch, etc.

When I grew up, we lived 45 miles from any halfway decent (other than
grocery) shopping; I lived in a town of 800 people.  Since I've been
married, the times we were in Frankfurt and Berlin allowed the most
convenient shopping.  I'd just hop onto the bus/subway/whatever and head
downtown.  No, never had trouble with the language difference.  I still
have some fabric I got over there to sew up.
