All we need to do is declare victory and leave. What were our goals? To
overthrow Saddam and to establish a democratic government. Voila! The fact
that the Shi'ite-dominated government will be allied with Iran and is not
to our liking is irrelevant. It is what the majority of Iraqis wanted.

You know it. Further, one day we'll hear the militarists beating the drums
for a new war, one that will, this time for real, wipe the stains of
defeat, left by our withdrawals from Vietnam and Iraq, from our national
psyche.
