Both the theo-ethnics are problems. Theocratic can work, Ethnic states can
& do work but theo-ethnic doesn't. Are you part of the state coz of
your theo or coz of your ethnic, if you're of the right theo but wrong
ethnic (e.g. Ethiopian jews) are you less than or greater than someone who
is the wrong theo but the right ethnic (e.g. Russian christian who's mother
is jewish).

Ditto wrt Pakistan with added fun of a much larger ethic catchment area
(south asian) & a much larger religion (shia, sunni, ibadi, ismali
etc.etc.)

A good indication of both this & the dangers of trying to fix the
problem is that both theo-ethnics are armed with nukes & both have a
deep seated feeling of persecution by outsiders.

The best that can happen is to steadily try & keep the state but move
it's raison d'etre from theo-ethnic to nationalist or ethnic.

Drop the jewish/Muslim part & simply get em to be there coz they're
Israeli/Pakistan.

But wrt the US....everyone in the rest of the UNSC. Everyone. If the PRC
did this, you'd have the Walrus bristling with indignation & saying how
the majority was being thwarted etc.etc.

It won't do either the US or Israeli any good & frankly makes em look
like.....incompetents or liars all over again as the orig resolution was
watered down to near meaningless in conjunction with the US &
then.....the US still went ahead & veto'ed it coz it has Israel as the
target of the resolution & not as the victim.

Frankly a child learns where the boundaries are from it's parents & the
great white father is a crap parent.
