Thank you for your message.  However, you selectively quoted my reply to
¨another message.

1) I was NOT "touting for business".
2) I was not "denergrating a competitor"

I was replying to a very rude and basically silly message regarding Diamond
¨modems and Taiwanese modems in general.

I pointed out a fact about the supposed warranty on Mike Bourne modems.
¨Surely the buying public should be warned that a statement on the outside
of ¨a shrink wrapped box that the modem inside has a "5 YEAR
WARRANTY" is not ¨true.  When inside it states "1 Year
Warranty", two years if you return the ¨warranty card, and add $45 and
more if you want a 4 or 5 year warranty.
Partly beacause I was warned about your "unreasonable nature"
especially ¨regarding Diamond modems (Ben Kelly and Ian from Loadstone told
me) I am ¨espessialy careful in this echo to "go by the rules". 
Please do not be ¨unreasonable - read both my messages and the ones I am
replying to, in order ¨to get the full picture.
