You always express it much better than I ever could.  I find the whole
"if we stayed longer then ..." to be so intellectually dishonest
because its foundation is the totally unsupportable proposition that
staying longer precludes things getting worse.  One would think that
watching Iraq's descent into civil war would be so sobering to the right
that they would
