subject: Is Australia still connected to the web?

From: "Phil Payne"

Or are they waiting for the next tea clipper to bring in copies of the Times?

"PRIME Minister John Howard has hailed the "heroic"
perseverance of Iraqis since the US-led invasion toppled Saddam Hussein
three years ago as proof that the military operation has not been
disastrous."

That one out-Shrubs even Shrub himself. But it gets better:

Citing the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis believed to have died under
Saddam, Mr Howard brushed off suggestions the deaths of tens of thousands
since the invasion had been disastrous.

The number of "Iraqis believed to have died under Saddam" is
hotly disputed, but TPTB haven't half one quiet about mass graves. And
"tens of thousands" since the invasion?
