subject: IBM MWave support

Dear LE,

=> I've had the most incredible support problems with people with those
=> MWave devices. They are a splendid idea, but the first thing IBM
etc.
=> Also hit a weird problem on the IBM 760CD, related to the MWave - if
=> you have the MWave drivers installed, the computer can't recognize
=> an asserted DCD signal in Windows - even if you're using a PCMCIA
etc.

The IBM MWave cards are made by GVC. I have direct contact with GVC and
¨their techos. One came over here to help get the GVCs through AUSTEL.

Why don't you fax and/or email full details of problems to me and I will
send ¨them to GVC?

MWave trying to be all things may be problem. How about the new
¨Voice/Fax/Data with DSVD and FDSP (Full Duplex Speaker Phone) as well as
¨Voice View (Radish) ? Should have samples ready for March.

Modems are getting to be ..... well I mean, even MARBIG are buying with
their ¨name. Will we see them hanging in the stationary section of Woolies
?

EDGE Computers have ordered 1,000 V.34 internals with EDGE brand for March
¨delivery. Look for another price drop in March April as too many V.34 hit
¨the market at the same time. ¨
Regards,

John Rich
