I've sometimes wondered if Yeltsin's supposed alcoholism wasn't Putin and
his former KGB buddies doping Yeltsin as part of their accummulation of
power.  Then when the time was right they told Yeltsin retire or else.  An
offer he couldn't refuse.

Any thoughts you are allowed to share?
