-= Pete Replied to david begley about: USR Courier V34 problems =- G'day david PE> Netcomm Series 5 SmartModem M34F (SM3400) DFS256K(K)-Z7 V2.61L PC> this looks like the later M34F unless the late code has been PC> loaded into an early M34F, can you get the owner of the netcomm PC> to issue db> The modem originally had revision "DFS256K(K) V2.61C1" when db> bought; modem upgraded via flash to "DFS256K(K)-Z7 V2.61L". AFAIK the V2.61C1 code was supplied in the later bug free chiped modem. PC> AT#V0I6#V1 to get the Rockwell chip ID . db> Now *that's* what I like to see - undocumented AT commands! db> (ATI6 with command verification disabled - where'd you find out db> about this, BTW, and are there any others?) us netcomm owners just know these things :-) there's quite a few of them but unfortunately i've forgot most of them, Steve Lennie seems to be the keeper of the commands maybe he can post them all again. db> -----[ snip, snip ]----- db> ATZ db> OK db> ATI9I2#V0I6#V1 db> Series 5 V.34 28800 Modem DFS256K(K)-Z7 V2.61L NetComm Ltd. And the ATI12 constant update? The EPROM db> programmer appears to use AT#L1 when updating flash ROMs, now if db> only I could pry open the ROM data file format... I've seen the RAM dump but what it means is beond me, be careful what commands you type with verification turned off as some of them instruct the loader to erase itself, ATI240 does this i think. -=Pete=- --- OMX/Blue Wave v2.12* Origin: Gates of Hell (3:713/914.16) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 620/243 623/630 624/300 625/100 711/401 409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/510 808 809 899 932 934 712/515 713/111 317 601 605 611 615 618 SEEN-BY: 713/620 676 700 888 914 714/906 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 713/914 615 888 711/808 809 934 |
