Indeed. What has always humored me wrt the whole KGB/Mossad etc poisoning
route is the testing process. Did they test on the condemned?
The aim is always to finish taking nice pickies of Big Ben, The tower, the
london eye etc & then get back onto your previously scheduled flight
home & then.....you're gone.
How many Russians are there in London at any one time? Including tourists?
The trick is to make sure that the tourist leaves reasonably quickly after
the event as nearly everytime that some op has gone wrong (e.g. Rainbow
Warrior in NZ) it's coz the intel people stuck around.
In fact the Froggie mishaps in NZ are effectively a "what not to
do" teaching aid.
Remember rule number 1: Never get involved with local law enforcement.
Undoubtedly the tourist is safely home with a glass of vodka.
