Get boots.. and make a lot of noise when you walk.. the snakes will normally 
go away if they sense you coming..
 
Or borrow a .38 spl revolver and put snake shot in the cylinder that will 
fire first.
 
We have Mohave greens up in the high desert.. they are far more agresive and 
dealy.
