That was part of it.  Along with the man that wanted to get off the skytram
when he wanted to "climb the matterhorn"... and many other reasons.  But all
the reasons were related to people not obeying the "safety rules" and low
ridership.  The "deadly twins" to any ride at any Disney themepark.

Superspeed cycles (similar to the "superspeed tunnels" from the peoplemover)
are scheduled to be placed in place of the peoplemover.  But they can always
change things at the last moment (cycles can be replaced with more "sled" 
ike
items... it is the same hardware underneath... just different fiberglass on
top of the hardware.
An Indiana Jones ride will be going into Florida... due to the success at
Disneyland.  The decision has not been made to where it will be placed 
either
MK or MGM).  The construction date has not been set as of a month ago (my 
ast
contact with Disney Corporate).
Tomorrowland is "under construction", it is being almost totally 
revamped"...
Space Mountain and Star Tours will be the only things that are "untouched".
The new gate will be the "California Experience", sort of a "Westcot meets
Tinsletown".  But there are environmental impact reports... plus the removal
of the Grand Hotel, which will be the location of the new parking lot for the
parks.  The monorail will be extended to the new park and the new parking 
t.
