It always seems to me that the best reviewer is one's self. I've read
plenty of reviews that panned something that I ended up liking. Of
course, one must pick and choose unless of course one has endless
wealth, and for that reason if for no other, reviews can be helpful. As
a user of many types of O/S's and other gadgets, I feel qualified to say
that I find Windows and Win95 to be useful adjuncts to DOS. That being
said, I think that a user of the x86 based machines who is well versed
in DOS will be well served by that knowledge, even if they are a Windows
user.
One really big advantage that Windows has over DOS is it's ability to
copy text easily from one application to another, and it is this ability
which, in my opinion, makes it worth the extra money. I frequently copy
from one application and paste into another, particularly in messaging
apps.
You are absolutely correct regarding OLX and QMP for Win95. I was
rather disappointed to find that it was not included in QMP-W95. But
such is life.
Thanks for writing,
Kathy
