 Plus, I'll bet good money that 5840 CPS speed is mostly text and repeating
 charactors... I can achive 1GB/s transmission rate easily... just compress
 a 5GB blank file... and then send it across the modem... the file will be
 only a few KB...
 With my Courier X2... I got burst transmission over 15,000CPS to boot...
 Of course with VJ Compression Disabled and V.42bis enabled...
